The main theme of all the prophets is to turn back to God. In lesson 12 of God’s Prophets from The New Living Bible Lessons, we briefly studied about Obadiah, Micah, Habakkuk, Zephaniah and Haggai. That’s a lot to cover for anyone but especially for 1st/2nd graders. The suggested memory verse for that lesson was Matthew 6:33: ” But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”

This activity offers the opportunity to discuss what we can do to seek God and what He has promised in return.

Inside the activity are two flaps — how we can seek God and what He promises in return.

I placed a bunch of pictures in the middle of the table. The students chose the ones they wanted to put on their activity.

Then, they glue them under the appropriate flap.
