Go To The Ant

Proverbs 6:6

Every young student should learn this passage from Proverbs. It’s so good because it teaches a great truth and it does it using a great example from nature. We’re being overrun by ants in our kitchen right now. Every time I go in there I find these words running through my mind. I’m reminded by these tiny creatures how important hard work is. By teaching this Proverb to your students you are giving them a lesson that will stick with them throughout life (especially when they see a bunch of ants invade their home).

The student will read the example on the card and decide if it is describing an ant or a slug. He will then glue it under the appropriate animal. This activity works great as a take home but I used it with the Books of Poetry Project Folder.
