The Worthy Woman
This is just a little coloring book with pictures of a mother doing things with her child that the worthy woman in Proverbs 31 would do. The pictures came from the wonderful coloring books that Standard publishes. I hope they don’t mind me putting them online like this but by doing so I hope it will encourage you to purchase your own copy. The pictures have been useful to me in so many ways.
I’m not a fan of passing out coloring sheets during class. I think if it is over done or too much time is spent on it that the class tends to disintegrate into chit chat about whatever is one their minds. There’s just not enough time in a class that meets once or twice a week to spend time chit chatting. But, if it is done sparingly and used wisely, color sheets can be a good thing. If the kids don’t get to do it very often, they love it. If the color picture and the conversation is kept on the lesson it is time well spent. It also gives the students a chance to finish it up at home thus continuing the conversation about the lesson with their parents.
This could be sent home at the end of the lesson or used in the Books of Poetry Project Folder.
