Psalm 27:4-6
” 4 One thing I have desired of the LORD,
That will I seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the LORD
All the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the LORD,
And to inquire in His temple.
5 For in the time of trouble
He shall hide me in His pavilion;
In the secret place of His tabernacle
He shall hide me;
He shall set me high upon a rock.
6 And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me;
Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle;
I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the LORD. “
Here are the words to My One Desire:
Verse 1
To behold the beauty of the Lord
ev’ryday from now to evermore.
My one desire that my heart seeketh,
to behold the beauty of the Lord.
My one desire that my heart seeketh,
to behold the beauty of the Lord.
Verse 2
For in times of trouble He hides me
In His place of secret far from harm.
My one desire that gives me courage,
finding shelter ‘neath His loving arm.
My one desire that gives me courage,
find-ing shelter ‘neath His loving arm.
Verse 3:
I will sing, yes, I will sing praises.
Bring a joyful offering of song.
My one desire that keeps me singing,
to sing praises with the heav’nly throng.
My one desire that keeps me singing,
to sing praises with the heav’nly throng.
Chorus:
There is one thing, one thing I long for.
There is one thing I am looking for.
One thing satisfies my longing.
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord.
