Old Testament Books:
We’ve been singing the song while students point to each book on our pocket chart. Then the students will get the opportunity to move their bookmark forward and, as time allows, add to their paper chains.

Lesson: Invasion and Conquest
Power point on laptop for visual aid and all students with Bibles open to proper location as we discuss events.
Of all the wonderful events in the book of Joshua, we are going to concentrate on:
- God’s instructions to Joshua in the 1st chapter
- crossing the Jordan River in the 3rd chapter
- fall of Jericho in the 6th chapter
- the defeat at Ai in the 7th chapter
- Joshua’s farewell address in the 24th chapter focusing on vs 14 and 15.
These events will emphasize God’s care for them as they once again cross an ominous body of water, gives them victory when they obey but defeat when they don’t and Joshua’s plea in his old age for the people to serve God faithfully.
Sing: The Walls Came Tumbling Down #655 in Hymns For Worship.
