Copying Isaiah

What Does Copying Isaiah Do For You?

  1. You notice how many of our hymns were inspired by Isaiah.
  2. You see where the New Testament quotes Isaiah again and again.
  3. You appreciate the references to Isaiah in sermons, Bible classes and articles.
  4. You are no longer intimidated by such deep writings.
  5. You find beautiful passages that beg to be memorized.
  6. You begin to think of Isaiah as “your book”.
  7. You are a little sad when you finish.

Who can read the following without singing it?

“Though your sins are like scarlet,
They shall be as white as snow;
Though they are red like crimson,
They shall be as wool.”  Isaiah 1:18

Could God be any clearer about the kind of people He wants us to be?

“This is the Lord’s declaration. I will look favorably on this kind of person:
one who is humble, submissive in spirit, and trembles at my word.”  Isaiah 66:2
